Shelter in Place…

Well… our plans of ordering food from the really funky little Deli place went south… it shut at 4pm. Thank you Google for outdated information. Bugger.

The rain was torrential. I was sent into the wild as chief hunter gatherer to find food. No point us both getting soaked!

I stood under the canopy on the Collins street entrance waiting for the rain to ease. A gentleman from Nottingham joined me – he had been despatched in search of chocolate (and none of that Hershey shit)!

We headed into the storm, going our separate ways – him to Walgreens, me to Five Guys.

Two burgers, one fries and two shakes.. $50. WTAF?

With our (ludicrously expensive) burgers, bottle of JD and sodas we ended up watching the CMA Awards. Actually, it was a fairly relaxed evening. the streets outside were quiet. The rain was hammering down, but not particularly windy.

I’m pleased that Luke Combs did well and Chris Stapleton won too. So hopefully, they will both make headline appearances at CMA Fest in June – for which we already have tickets.
