Homeward bound

Now in our seats – similar but on opposite side of aircraft in hope of a northern runway departure alongside the strip… This aircraft is nearly twelve months old.. it’s already beginning to look a little beaten up, scratched and scuffed. Not convinced these club suites are going to stand the test of time…

Good Morning Las Vegas

Again will miss these views. Whilst not the best strip view it was nice to have a view… We had organised a late check out for 1pm. Didn’t stop the management from knocking on our door at 11:30 though. Anyway, we got up and dragged out tired bodies down to the Primrose Lounge for breakfast. We had a comp slip […]

A chilled out Sunday?

We had a few items to try and buy… weren’t hugely successful. However, we did get to the Bellagio to look at their Christmas display in the Conservatory. Very impressive. We had some drinks vouchers to use, so headed back to Park MGM. Ended up having a bad run in the casino on route… There aren’t many casino bars for […]

Miranda Lambert – Velvet Rodeo

The theatre seat around 7000.whilst it was comfortable it lacks the features of the newer theatres. Mainly the secondary screens and better sight lines. If people choose to stand up here, you simply cannot see unless you too stand up. The show was good. Lacked some of the production standards of Carrie Underwood, but I thought it was the better […]

Shopping…

Well mainly browsing due to practical and financial reasons! Can’t fit much in the cases and could easily go bankrupt in a USA Costco! The view from our window… the Aria car park.. looks like a photo shoot. Possibly for an exotic car rental company – the had a GT60, Corvette, Lamborghini… or it could be for an exotic girl […]

U2:UV @ the Sphere

Took a while to get into the place,… well, 18000+ people is a lot to channel in to a venue. When you think the Manchester Arena (UKs largest indoor venue) holds 21000 you realise how big the sphere is. Especially when you consider the seats are in one half… The venue is bonkers. Nothing even similar anywhere else. Then there […]

Central Strip

Slow start today. Visited rewards desk to collect some free play and drinks vouchers. We also have $100 comp slip to use. So MGM is going get some of our custom this weekend! We headed to the ParkMGM tram station, heading for the Bellagio. We will visit the Bellagio tomorrow too… once the unveil the Christmas decorations. Bellagio Conservatory is […]

Freemont

Taxi’d up to Freemont. Traffic was bad, probably a knock-on from the I-15 closure due to the hit-and-run killing of two police officers. We’d booked the Mob Museum package which included a firearms simulation and distillery tour – a well thought out combination! The Mob Museum is worthy of your time. It’s pretty thorough in its details – quite graphic […]

A morning of pottering

South end of the strip was full of people in costume trying to get you to pay for a photo.. or cluttering up the bridges trying to flog their demo CDs… or charge you a small fortune for a tour to the Hoover Dam etc. Swerving these become tiring. It’s often best to stick to the trams and casino to […]

Carrie Underwood

The lady can sing! She also knows how to put on a good show. The Theatre at Resorts World holds 5000 people. Sound system was excellent and the stage is sophisticated allowing automated scene changes, lifts, water, pyrotechnics etc. Post show we drove back to the NoMaD and grabbed dinner at the Eataly area. Most restaurants were shut. Vegas isn’t […]
