A morning of pottering
South end of the strip was full of people in costume trying to get you to pay for a photo.. or cluttering up the bridges trying to flog their demo CDs… or charge you a small fortune for a tour to the Hoover Dam etc.
Swerving these become tiring. It’s often best to stick to the trams and casino to casino walkways.
We ended up in a bar inside New York New York. People watching and sipping cokes, then beers then JD and cokes (hey – it was Happy Hour!)
Aside from the freebies when gambling – these were just about the best value on the strip so far. Beers $5, well cocktails $6.50.
We pootled around a while longer. Bumped into a wedding party posing for photos in the casino! Then headed out to a CVS to get some room supplies.
We headed back to the room to refresh ready for Fremont Street.
I stopped at a food truck in the hotel lobby for a burrito.
It has miniature trucks with interior mirror views… hard to describe
The burrito wasn’t what I was expecting but was seriously tasty and for $16 cheap!
It had a sort of egg fried rice with spicy pork filling. Very nice.
